Taxsila Public School complements a strong academic foundation with a rich selection of extra-curricular activities designed to enhance a student's all round development and cultivate varied interests.
The schools extra-curricular programme includes cultural events, field trips, competitive and non competitive sports activities, dance, drama, quizzes, art and music.
All students are encouraged to participate in at least one extracurricular activity each week to ensure that their academic, sporting and creative interests are balanced and encouraged. We offer varied programme activities which changes each term, enabling students to participate in a range of activities throughout the year.
Chacha Nehru is remembered on his birthday (14 Nov) and in his memory children’s day is commemorated & on children’s day sports activities are organized in our school. The students participate in various sport activities such as Basket-Ball, Cricket, Athletics & Volley-Ball. Sports Captain leads all the other sportsmen and team contingents. There after different activities under the supervision of different Sports teachers. After wards the winners team is awarded by the management and principal and then at last the management addresses about Chacha Nehru.
The constitution was adopted by the Indian constitution assembly on 26 November 1950 with a democratic government system 26 January was chosen as the Republic Day because it was on the day in 1930 when Declaration of Indian Independence was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress. So this mood of festivity is celebrated in our school with patriotic songs, declamation, well choreographed dance, skits & with many more programmes organized by the school management.
Gandhi Jayanti is a national festival celebrated in India to mark the occasion of birthday of Gandhi ji also called who is unofficially called as the “Father of Nation” 2 Oct is also celebrated as international Day of Non- violence. It is celebrated every year. In this regard our school organizes massive programmes. Numerous activities are held so that we could create the awareness about non-violence among the students. We teach them, Perservance, endurance & dedication so that they could be tolerable & can turn the world with above mentioned weapons.
Considering the need to train the mind, meditation is an approach to train the mind, Just like fitness is an approach to train the body. Our school has incorporated meditation Programme so that the mind of the student could be purified not Petrified.
Yagya is also glorified as “YajooayaSarvakamdhuk” meaning “Yagya is the source of fulfilling all desires“. This appears to be true in view of the positive effect it has at physical & spiritual level. Soyagya is of auspicious importance. In our school every week yagya is performed by students so that their Physical & mental progress strengthen & they could be edified.
It is for a man to decide whether to live life as a creator or critic, a lover or a hater, a giver or a taker. And it is the teacher who with multiple faces like that of a guide, a friend, a philosopher and a parent guides and directs his actions on to the right path to every step of life. As a potter moulds his creation to give it an exquisite look, with the same dedication and devotion a teachers moulds the character of his students. With the dawn of September one could witness the ever eager and enthusiastic students preparing for the Teachers Day celebrations? This special day was celebrated with great zeal and gaiety as the students came up with their marvellous dance, mind-rocking games and hilarious skits.
Fire safety is the set of practices intended to reduce the destruction caused by fire. Fire safety measures include those that are intended to prevent ignition of an uncontrolled fire and those that are used to limit the development & effects of fire after it starts. In our school we always take initiative to create awareness among our students through demonstration banners & slogans regarding fighting this menace.
Students are encouraged to develop their public speaking skill through education, debates, school plays and theatre. This training provides them an ideal opportunity and platform to enhance individual character and reduce stage phobia.
